Holly began dancing at the age of 3 and fell in love with ballet at an early age. Holly danced at ‘Jenny Brennan School of dance’ near her home town in Staffordshire. She followed the RAD Ballet syllabus and the ISTD Modern and Tap syllabus, gaining distinctions at all levels.

Whilst training at Jenny Brennan School of dance Holly was a Junior and Senior Associate of the Royal Ballet School. She also had lots of performance experience dancing with English Youth ballet and National Youth Ballet. Holly was a Juvenile dancer at Stafford Pantomime for many years. Holly also danced in many Festivals and was very successful winning many medals and trophies. She also competed in the ISTD Janet Cram awards in 2000, where she won the ‘Outstanding Dance Award’. Holly then went on to train at a top Vocational Ballet school Elmhurst School for Dance in association with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in Birmingham. Holly then decided to broaden her experience by going on to train at musical Theatre college Laine Theatre arts in Epsom Surrey. Holly Graduated in 2006 with a National Diploma in Professional Dance (NDPD).

Holly then went on to dance professionally and performed in many shows. Amongst her many credits she danced in the feature film Nine (based on the Broadway musical) in 2008 director Rob Marshall, alongside stars such as Daniel Day Lewis, Judy Dench, Nicole Kidman and Sophia Loren.

In 2009 Holly became a freelance dance teacher teaching all over Surrey and London. Holly taught adults and children of all ages including preschool movement at several nurseries e.g ‘The Mouse House’ in Wandsworth. and Dicky Birds in Wimbledon. Teaching dance became her new passion!

Holly then went on to do teacher training with the Royal Academy of Dance on the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies course, giving her Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD RTS) in 2013.  Holly also trained with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing where she gained her ISTD DDI.

 Rebecca Peters

Rebecca started dancing at the tender age of two and a half at, The Carol May school of dance and performing arts, following the RAD ballet syllabus  and the ISTD tap and modern syllabus. Rebecca gained distinction at all levels of RAD and achieved the ARAD (associate of The Royal Academy of dance) in 2006. Rebecca danced as an associate of The Royal Ballet School, and then went on to gain a place at White Lodge, The Royal Ballet lower school.

Whilst at The Royal Ballet school, Rebecca danced with The Royal Ballet Company in The Nutcracker for three seasons. She also danced at the opening ceremony of The Royal Opera house, Covent Garden in front of her majesty the Queen. Another highlight of her time at White Lodge was dancing in the opening of Mick Jagger’s performing arts school, and being in a BBC documentary with Jennifer Saunders.

Rebecca continued her training at Elmhurst School in association with The Birmingham Royal ballet. Here she gained her Trinity Diploma in professional dance. Whilst studying at Elmhurst Rebecca went on tour with The Birmingham Royal ballet and danced numerous roles whilst doing so.

Upon graduation Rebecca successfully auditioned for The Estonian Vanemuine Ballet Company. Rebecca danced as a professional ballet dancer for three years with this company; dancing many roles in numerous classical and neo-classical ballets. Since leaving Estonia Rebecca has performed with Cork City Ballet and London Ballet Ensemble.

Rebecca then went on to completing the professional dancers teaching Diploma with the Royal Academy of Dance (PDTD) gaining her RAD registered teacher status. Rebecca has now been teaching ballet in London and Surrey for the last 3 years. Teaching at many schools including the Junior programme at the prestigious English National Ballet School.

Alicia Beck

Alicia trained at The Rawle School of Dance, Elmhurst School for Dance in Association with Birmingham Royal Ballet  receiving a BA (Hons) Degree from Middlesex University

After an apprenticeship with Birmingham Royal Ballet Alicia moved to Europe to pursue her Ballet career, dancing with Ballet Dortmund, Ballet Nice Mediterrenee and most notably The Zurich Ballet.

She has danced corps de ballet and soloist roles in Ballets by Ashton, Balanchine Bigonzetti, Corder, Ek, Fokine, Forsythe, Hampson, Lifar, Lynne, Spoerli, Petipa and Wang, among others.

Since dancing professionally Alicia has taught various classes and workshops at a number of dance schools and colleges up and down the country including ; Elmhurst School For Dance, London College of Music, Jenny Brennan School of Dance, Studio 25 Manchester, Pineapple Dance Studios, The Rawle School of Dance, Edinburgh Dance Academy, Stalder Academy and The Rosy Thompson Academy.
Alicia is delighted to join the faculty at the Holly Mayer Academy of Dance and teaches regular kindergarten classes, as well as dance workshops.
