Holly Mayer Academy of Dance is a fresh and exciting Dance Academy in Putney, South West London and Ewell Village, Surrey. The Academy was established in September 2014 and is under the direction of professional dancer, teacher Principal Holly Mayer NDPD ARAD RAD RTS ISTD DDI. Holly Mayer Academy of Dance has over 200 students enrolled into our Classes. All classes held in Putney, South West London are at St Margaret’s Church SW15 5HU, Putney High School SW15 6BH, Brandlehow Primary School SW15 2ED and at both of the Noddy’s Nursery schools. All classes held in Ewell Village are held at Ewell Grove Primary School KT17 1UZ.
The Academy is a registered school with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of dancing (ISTD). We offer children’s classes from the age of 2 ½ up to adults. These include RAD Ballet, Pointe work, ISTD Modern and Tap, Jazz, contemporary, Musical Theatre, limbering/strengthening classes and also adult ballet and Jazz. We also offer Pre-school movement dance classes in nurseries for children around London. They are Noddy’s Nursery on Gwendolen Avenue SW15 6EH, Noddy’s Nursery on Beaumont road SW19 6SP in Putney and The Knightsbridge Kindergarten Nursery at Eaton Square London, SW1W 9AL.
All teachers have trained and performed professionally and also successfully completed RAD and ISTD teaching qualifications. These teachers therefore offer children experience from all aspects of the world of dance. Teachers are also CRB checked and are carefully selected to ensure they have excellent rapport with the children, providing fun imaginative and creative classes. 
Students may take exams in RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap from the age of 6 when they are following the Primary syllabus. Students will have the opportunity to perform in our school show every 2 years. Students will learn how to pick up choreography and work in a team and then perform it in theatre in front of an audience! An experience not to be missed! Students will also have opportunities to compete and perform in dance festivals and competitions at the discretion of the Principal. Students will also be selected for auditions for the Royal Ballet Associate classes. Also each year children will be selected to audition to dance with ballet companies such as National Youth Ballet and English Youth Ballet.
